Tacos with a cheese shell (nuke cheddar slice for a minute and a half and fold while still spliable to make a shell) or Taco Salad.
Chili (beanless of course)
Sloppy Joes with low carb bread, cheese chips or pork rinds. Brown sugar twin can be used in place of brown sugar, that can be found in the sugar isle of any grocery store.
Meatloaf-I used this recipe and it was very good but crumbly. I replaced the peppers with mushrooms and atkins bake mix with almond flour. I also added about a 1/4 tsp of crushed celery seed. I think celery seed is the secret ingredient in all the best sauces.
Chicken Tenders- for breading I used almond flour mixed with my choice of seasonings. I folled the chicken tender in the flour then dipped it in egg then rolled it again in flour and fried. These came out DE-LISH!
Hamburgers wrapped in lettuce or low carb bread. A neat idea I came up with one time was making mini cheeseburgers. I made miniature patties from the hamburger meat and melted a small square of cheese (fold a slice of cheese to make several smaller squares) on it and put a dot of mayo and ketchup on it. You can make several mini cheese burgers out of 4 oz hamburger meat, it takes a boring meal and makes it interesting.
Crockpot chicken (put a chicken in the crockpot and cook for 4 hours, add in whatever you like.
Fried chicken, chicken wings, drumbsticks-fry with skin on
Hot dogs/chili dogs with low carb bun or bread or by itself. Replace sugar in recipe with splenda.
Grilled Cheese Sandwich with low carb bread
This is spaghetti squash with all natural marinara sauce, mushrooms and black olives. This is one of my favorite things to eat. This makes the best substitute for pasta ever, in fact, it's way better than regular pasta!
What I do to prepare it is make slits in it with a knife then microwave it for a few minutes or however long it takes to be able to cut it in half lenthwise (but sure to cut off the stalk on the end). I then put a half in a glass dish with some water, cover with plastic wrap and microwave for a few minutes. Then I scoop out the seeds and start digging out the spaghetti like strands with a fork and repeat with the other half.
I put the squash in a large frying pan with the sauce, mushrooms and olives, butter, garlic powder, onion powder and celery seed to taste, mix it all up real good and heat.
This is highly recommended. I warn you though, you'll be tempted to eat ALL of it in one sitting!
